You are invited to the
Fieldwork Education
Summer Learning Network 2009

July 30th and 31st 2009, Central London

'Everything that matters about learning and nothing that doesn’t'

This unique event, drawing together committed and passionate educators from around the globe, will not only provide you with the overview you need but crucially will also provide you with the chance to revaluate and refocus learning.

Increasingly, schools and school systems are beginning to focus rigorously on learning, and throughout the two days you will be given the opportunity to explore four key questions that guide us to delivering effective learning in each of our schools.

  • What is learning?
  • What helps learning happen?
  • The ‘Learning Dashboard’ – What evidence counts? How do we assess for Learning?
  • What makes a learning-focused school different?

What format will the event follow?

The event will be a mix of input from the session leaders, personal reflection, group decision making and forward planning. Like everything Fieldwork does, each session will be based upon best research but will be, as far as is possible, practical, accessible and jargon free.

Other benefits of the event

  • You’ll receive course notes and a short DVD that summarises each session that you can use in your school to help you promote and develop learning with your colleagues.
